Holiday Hostel

Easy to find get to other places, friendly staff, very comfy beds, warm showers anytime, not as noisy as I expected, got 2 big bottles of water for free and the breakfast was very good. They waited to pick me up even tho my flight was 4h late. The restaurant terrace is cozy and the upper terrace has a cozier area with the view to monkey temple! They were kind enough to storahe one of my luggages while I was in a retreat and came back a few days later. The owner is very kind and attentive, as well all the other staff members. Thanks for contributing for my amazing stay in Kathmandu.

I’m so lucky that I booked this hostel. I booked the 4 bed female dorm and it was super clear, I was also really happy that the shared toilet was in the dorm and we only had to share between us. It’s also a very quiet hostel with a lovely rooftop to work from. I fell sick when I arrived in Nepal and the staff went above and beyond to help me that I didn’t feel alone through one of my worst sickness! I wouldn’t hesitate to book if you’re thinking about it.

The room felt really nice for the low price, the bathroom was really light. There was a great rooftop area to grab some drinks and food. Quietest stay we’ve had out of three Kathmandu hotels. The owner met us on arrival, told us about the hotel being newly opened.

This is the second time I have come here, the location is great, the staff are very friendly. The owner of the hostel is a very nice person. I am happy with everything here, the rooms are clean, there is a cafe on the rooftop which is very cozy. If you want to be in a good location with good price and good quality , you are in a good place.

Absolutely loved my stay at Holiday Hostel, perfectly situated in the heart of Thamel. From the moment I landed, one of the owners was there to greet me at the airport, offering a cost-price transfer. I felt welcomed before I even set foot in the hostel. Now, let's chat about Kumar and Madan, the owners. These guys are more like your local buddies than traditional hosts. They added so much to our experience—from socialising with us at the rooftop bar, a gem of a spot with a chill vibe, to showing us around Kathmandu themselves. Shopping can be a maze, but these guys were our navigational beacons, making sure we didn't just spend money but spent it well. They helped us snag some killer deals, which is invaluable when you're a stranger in a new place. And don't get me started on the Momo! Best in Nepal, no contest. Add to that a super friendly staff willing to share insights into Nepalese culture, and you've got a trip that's not just fun, but also enriching. In a nutshell, if you're looking for comfort, culture, and a top-notch location in Thamel, you can't go wrong with Holiday Hostel. Big cheers to Kumar and Madan for making our stay unforgettable.
